Wave Rider

About Wave Rider

How long can you last on a raging wave when the speed keeps increasing and obstacles keep coming your way? Wave Rider throws you into an endless surfing adventure, where every dodge determines whether you continue or end right there.

How to Play Wave Rider

Wave Rider works like an endless runner on the water. You start with a board, surf forward, and must deal with everything that appears in your path. The difference is that the game doesn't give you a second chance: hitting a log, rock, hole, or waterfall stops the game immediately. There are no respawns, no spare lives.

The key is speed. The further you surf, the faster your board gets, forcing you to react faster and time your moves more precisely. Many players lose not because the obstacles are too difficult, but because they try to catch an extra starfish in the narrow sections of the course. Starfish are the in-game currency, used to unlock new boards and jet skis, but trading an entire game for a few isn't worth it.

Obstacle Handling

Each type of obstacle requires a different dodging technique. Logs and rocks are usually clustered together, so you need to read ahead 2-3 times to choose a safe lane. Pits and waterfalls appear unexpectedly, forcing you to change direction abruptly. Practical experience shows that keeping the board in the middle of the screen gives you more maneuvering space than sticking to the edge.

Effective Starfish Gathering

Starfish often line up in long rows in sections with fewer obstacles. Instead of recklessly rushing at each one individually, observe the entire cluster before deciding whether to cut through. A long run with few starfish is still more profitable than a short run with only a few.

Game Controls

Use W, A, D, or the arrow keys to navigate the board. Left and right to change lanes, up to jump over low obstacles.

Conclusion

Wave Rider is suitable for those who like short, clear challenges and want to improve their score after each loss. Whether you play for a few minutes for fun, or aim to unlock all the boards and jet skis, you'll definitely want to come back to that wave again.
