Wave Race is a fast-paced 2D arcade game where you control an arrow navigating narrow, treacherous tunnels. With just a single button press, each hold or release determines your survival against lurking traps.

How to Play Wave Race

Your arrow automatically flies forward and never stops. Your task is to hold the control button to ascend at a diagonal angle, then release to descend, creating the characteristic zigzag flight path. This alternating action allows you to squeeze through narrow gaps, dodge spikes, gears, and barriers.

The trick is to anticipate the obstacles. Don’t just look at the arrow; look at the space ahead to time your hold and release perfectly. Short presses give you better control in tight corridors, while when the flight path changes direction suddenly, gain or lose altitude early to avoid being cornered. Even a single collision will end the level immediately, so each attempt is a practice session to hone your reflexes and memorize the level's rhythm.

Later levels tighten the space, adding rotating gears and unpredictable obstacles, forcing you to patiently practice each difficult section instead of trying to rush. Endless and Race modes further increase the challenge by testing how far you can fly or whether you reach the finish line before other arrows.

Controls

• PC: Hold down the left mouse button, Space, or W to fly up; release to descend. Press P to pause.
• Mobile: Hold down the screen to fly up, release to descend.

Tip: Press briefly instead of holding down to avoid crashing into the opposite wall.

Wave Race rewards calmness and composure more than hand speed, so practice each difficult turn until it becomes a reflex.
